This is a very simple yet satisfying song. I particularly appreciate a setting for men’s choir. It gives novice men’s choirs an opportunity for accessible, a cappella, harmonic singing. This piece is very sweet and welcoming and would be a wonderful closer for a concert, church service, festival, etc. The piece includes both Swahili and English text. It is repetitive and lengthy enough to omit one or the other. And, of course, it provides an opportunity for adding percussion as you see fit.
