With chamber orchestra or piano

This is the third and final movement of Walker’s Love Was My Lord and King!, composed for the Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix. Alfred Lord Tennyson’s words use the sea as a metaphor for life’s ultimate journey to death and beyond. The piece sensitively explores a depth of emotions and dynamic levels, ending with a grand and confident statement of optimism. All three movements are worth a second look. Difficulty level: moderate.
