This arrangement contains everything you’d expect a good Renaissance piece to contain: strong cadences, polyphony and homophony, no accompaniment, and musically independent lines. This piece changes meter multiple times, which encourages the singers to keep a keen sense-of-pulse throughout the song. Students will find good ranges for each part and musical challenges such as tiered entrances and mixed meter as they prepare and perform this piece. This is a great piece to have a middle level or intermediate TTBB choir learn and serves as a great opening to any concert set!

When introducing and teaching this song, one may find it helpful to work from the back of the piece to the front so as to allow students to always be working toward material they are already familiar with, thereby enhancing their overall sense of accomplishment. As was previously mentioned with other titles, solfege could be a very beneficial and useful tool in helping students learn their parts accurately and efficiently. Rhythmically, this song is not difficult in regards to each independent part. However, there is rhythmic complexity at times, which could be easily addressed through count-singing each part in order to understand how they fit together as a whole.
