This traditional Israeli folk song is quickly learned and has a lovely piano accompaniment. It begins in unison, moves to a three-part round, returns to unison and ends with a short coda that can be sung in three parts as well. Students enjoy the harmonies created in the canonic passage as well as the challenges of singing the same text in all three phrases of the song – an added challenge in part singing.
