This piece is written as a medium swing, SSATB voicing. It utilizes a rhythm section comprised of piano, bass and drums and incorporates a large soli scat section set between two complementary refrains. Rutherford uses good voice leading, creative harmonies and a lot of sass in this arrangement. A bit of a challenge but fun from the moment you start to teach it. Composed by Dorothy Fields and Jimmy McHugh, this piece is a great way to introduce a nice jazz standard into your repertoire.
